Night Vision Care & Storage

A little care after each use helps keep your equipment ready for the next outing. Night vision is precision equipment: follow the instructions for your device and batteries when cleaning, charging and storing them.

After use

• Gently clean lenses with a suitable soft cloth. If lens cleaner is needed, apply a small amount to the cloth rather than spraying the lens directly.
• Wipe the housing with a soft cloth and keep it dry.
• Remove user-removable batteries for long-term storage, following the device instructions.

Storage

• Avoid direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Follow the model-specific storage requirements.
• Keep lens caps on image-intensifier devices when not in use. Do not point them at the sun or strong light sources.
• Follow the specified charging and storage procedure for digital devices and batteries.
• Use the supplied case when available.

Handling

• Avoid drops and heavy impacts.
• Keep the device dry and observe its stated water-resistance limits.
• Do not use image-intensifier devices in bright conditions unless the manufacturer instructions expressly allow it with the required protection.
