Night Vision Maintenance and Storage Guide
Night vision devices are precision instruments. With proper care and storage, they can be enjoyed for a long time.
Care after Use
- Lenses: Wipe lightly with a microfiber cloth. If there are fingerprints, apply a small amount of lens cleaner solution to a cloth and then wipe. Do not spray directly.
- Body: Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. If heavily soiled, wipe with a cloth dampened with diluted neutral detergent, then always wipe dry.
- Battery: Remove from the device after use. This prevents leakage during long-term storage.
Storage Methods
- Environment: Store in a place with 40-60% humidity and 5-30℃ temperature. Avoid direct sunlight.
- Image Intensifier Tube Models: Never turn on in a brightly lit place. Even when powered OFF, keep the lens cap on.
- Digital Models: Turning it on about once a month can prevent deterioration.
- Dedicated Case: Store in the included dedicated case. It is even better to include a desiccant.
Precautions
- Strictly avoid getting wet (except for items with IP waterproof rating)
- Do not drop or subject to strong impacts.
- For image intensifier tube models, never turn on during the day or in brightly lit places.
- If unused for a long period, check operation once every six months.
