Night Vision Care & Storage Guide
Night vision is precision equipment. With proper care and storage, it will serve you well for years.
Care After Use
- Lenses: Wipe gently with a microfiber cloth. If fingerprints get on them, apply a small amount of lens cleaner to the cloth first, then wipe. Do not spray directly.
- Body: Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. For heavy dirt, wipe with a cloth dampened with diluted neutral detergent, then always wipe dry.
- Battery: Remove it from the body after use, to prevent leakage during long-term storage.
How to Store
- Environment: A place with 40–60% humidity and a temperature of 5–30°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
- Tube models: Never power them on in a bright location. Keep the lens cap on even when powered off.
- Digital models: Powering them on about once a month helps prevent deterioration.
- Dedicated case: Store in the included dedicated case. Adding a desiccant is even better.
Precautions
- Keep strictly away from water (except for items rated with an IP waterproof grade).
- Do not drop or subject to strong impact.
- Never power on tube models in daylight or where there is strong light.
- When unused for a long time, check operation once every six months.
